Collins, an astronaut onboard for Gemini 10 and Apollo 11, autographed his book at a private event on March 2, 2010. "Carrying the Fire" may be the best written and most personal account leading up to and including the Apollo 11 mission to land on the moon. Collins describes his training, his dangerous days as a test pilot, his colleagues in the space program, his ride with astronaut John Young on Gemini 10, and his experience as Apollo 11 pilot with Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, the first to walk on the moon.
